Over £113,000 of savings for a flight engineering company

Inflite Engineering are the UK’s leading aerospace and defence engineers. As part of a multi-million pound organisation, Inflite have supplied manufacturing and engineering services to the biggest names in aviation and defence for more than three decades. In 2019, they had found an Assessor to get them compliant to ESOS Phase 2 but had been unable to locate an Energy Operations and Process Specialist. Engineering operations equated to over 80% of Inflite’s total energy use.

Following recommendations, Alan Asbury of CLS Energy was appointed to carry out assessments at the company’s hangars and factories at Stansted Airport.
Alan attended the principle sites and assessed, clamped and profiled a large sample of equipment and operational assets.

Testimonial:
“We contracted CLS to carry out energy audits of our key manufacturing sites as part of our ESOS Phase II compliance. Alan Asbury visited our sites carrying out in-depth site inspections and produced thorough reports showing where energy was being lost and highlighting clear energy saving opportunities. We found the information, help and advice given to us by CLS invaluable and will certainly be looking to work with them in the future”.

“Following physical profiling of operational  equipment and a comprehensive process assessment, Alan was able to demonstrate 1.2GWh of energy savings and over £113,000 in cashable savings from practical recommendations”.

This despite the fact that Inflite operate a very well managed operation with state of the art CNC machining and fabrication tooling.

“Inflite Engineering Services Limited would have no hesitation in recommending the services of CLS Energy Ltd”. K.V. Inflite Engineering.
